I have a poor man’s dead spec PRS Silver Sky. This is a 2018 Onyx Silver Sky. First year of production, first gen SS pickups, discontinued color. I decided to give it the Dead spec treatment, but it is all reversible and I have the parts.
Here are the upgrades:
-MannMade Brass Block
-MannMade Brass Saddles
-PRS Gen 3 Locking tuners
-Alembic Blaster
I went with the brass tuners over the nut and string retainer since it was less invasive. Definitely gives a nice Jerry vibe to the Silver Sky.
I’d be open to reverting it to stock and sell for $1400, but it’s pretty nice as is.

Looks like Mayer’s newest proto is a black SS with a blaster. Maybe this guitar was is inspiration who knows 🤷♂️
